Eiro Reasearch Closes Down

It’s a sad day for Eiro Research.

If you’ve been in the network marketing game for a long time now you have probably heard of Eiro Rsearch.  They sold nutritional supplements, energy drinks and they recently were getting into skin care.  I saw Eiro Research in late 2009 at a presentation.  The presenter was telling the crowd that if you want to make serious money you need to buy in at the top level, this would get you like $2500 worth of product for only $1000.00

Whenever I see that, I always think about how good I have it with my current company.  Nutritional companies are great but some are notorious for front loading product on new reps, that is where the big bonus’s come into play.  The energy drink that Eiro Research sold was around $60 a case, granted it was all natural, that is way to much money.

The economy is starting to have a big effect on companies like Eiro Research.  I heard that Mona Vie was down around 30% in 2010, not sure how true that is yet, but I know for a fact the attrition is only 16% with Mona Vie and most other nutrition network marketing companies.  It’s hard to get people to spend $100 a month on the product.  Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of great nutrition network marketing companies out there, and not all are over priced, but most of them are selling product at a price that is double what you can get it for at your local nutritional warehouse.

I really think the future of network marketing lies within the social networks, I like to call it, Social Network Marketing.  I’m not sure if there is a name for it yet.  Things will pop up within the next couple of years that consumers will absolutely love using, the best part is they wont even know they are set up as multi level!

If your with Erio Research and are looking for a home in what I like to call social network marketing, I can give you information on what is happening out there.  Fill out your name, email and phone number to the right.  If you just looking for some great training for free and don’t want to be contacted you can leave your number out.

Good luck to everyone who was involved in Eiro Research, I wish you all the best.

Hey Bill, I have a question about Network Marketing.(Doing a report in my Computer Buisness class)

From what I know of Network Marketing or Pyramid Income is that the money lies in recruiting other people to sell/recruit to increase your earning percentage. (One person can make a percentage off the two people he’s recruited, and the two people they recruited).

My question is how do you maintain revenue over an extended period of time. I know the most important part of having a buisness is having a market/consumers. So my question is, if the point of the buisness is to recruit other people to sell a product, doesn’t every person you recruit reduce your market by two fold? I understand that the person on the top of the ladder still benefits late into the buisness model, but wouldn’t the new recruiters suffer from a lack of market?

Cool blog Bill, would love your feelings on the buisness model!

Hey Ryan, glad you like my blog. Thanks

Each network marketing company has a different pay plan. Some of the pay plans are better if your recruiting more sales reps and building a big team, while some are better if your out making a lot of personal product sales.

maintaining revenue over a period of time also depends on the company, to maintain residual income from customers you need to have them as repeat customers. That is why most network marketing companies have some sort of auto ship. Nutrition for example, you like a vitamin per say, you set it up to ship every month. The problem with nutrition is if you stop taking it, it stockpiles and you cancel your auto ship. This is why the retention rate with that industry is extremely low.

I don’t agree that every person you recruit reduces your market, its like any direct sales model, there are way to many people in the world to ever saturate your one product. That is why people in Amway still get involved and make good money, it is a harder sell because more people have heard about it and also for some other reasons, but if you learn the skills, you can make any good network marketing company work for you.

I love the business model, the only thing that sucks is there are a lot of bad companies that have put a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths because of poor business models and scams. That will never go away but they typically do get shut down fairly fast.
