Bill Ashton
Here’s a little bit about me. Before you read any further, I just want you to know. I’m extremely honest and act pretty much however I want. I was never good at English in school, my spelling is horrible so if you see a mistake, spell check should have caught it and it’s Google’s fault. I call things like I see them, some of you might not like that because you’ve been scamming and lying to people for years now, so you can leave the site now if that’s you.
I like to have fun! I don’t take things to seriously, as far as I know, we are only on this earth for a short time and I’m going to make the most of it. I believe there is something better waiting for all of us in the after life, but until then here we are. If we all treat each other like human beings and use common sense, we should be fine.
I started my 1st business out of my locker when I was in 8th grade selling candy.
My second business was when I was a junior in high school. My parents went on a vacation and left us home alone for a week with our older cousin to watch us. She was super cool, so I had a kegger party. It was a profitable night, then the cops came. we rolled the kegs down the hill in our back yard, they did however still make us shut the party down. Oh well, it was a blast!
Throughout high school I worked at a restaurant called The Bierstube. I really liked the industry considering I was already making money selling beer at my parents house. I Kept working at The Bierstube until I was 25, working my way from Dishwasher to General Manager.
Instead of spending $50,000 – $100,000 on an education we decided to risk more than everything and go 1 Million Dollars In Debt with our own business. In 2001 At the age of 25, my wife Shelley and I purchased our own Restaurant / Bar called Jerseys Bar And Grill. Those were the good ol days when you could borrow 125% with 2nd and 3rd mortgages on your house. It was always our dream to have our own place, with persistence and hard work we did it at a young age.
I had someone build us a website early on in 2002, he taught me how to update it and that was the start of my online marketing skills. A lot of my marketing skills come from trial and error, I have ADD so I like to try a ton of different things, use this to your benefit.
In early 2008 I got involved in the world of Network Marketing, some of you know it as Multi Level Marketing, some of you know it as a pyramid scheme. I totally get why some of you look at it as a pyramid scheme, everyone has a really smart broke friend that is scared to try anything in there own lives, they usually tell you that it is a pyramid scheme, why wouldn’t you believe them. One thing I’ve learned throughout the years is the only real pyramid scheme that is still in business is the government.
In March 2009 I started my blog www.billashton.com
I learned a ton from that experience about personal branding, now its January 2011 and I’m taking what I’ve learned, starting over and am ready to teach people how to make money doing things they love doing.
I’ve always loved marketing, I plan on continuing my education (not at a collage) so I can continue to help people become successful in whatever they truly want.
